Do you actually want nuclear submarines in your back yard? Nobody asked. The deals were done, the boats were coming, and the legislation this country held for decades on nuclear matters was adjusted to suit.

That flyer is the argument on a single page. The plan answers an invasion; the real risk is a blockade that no fleet or submarine can lift. Three seas have been closed in three years — Hormuz, the Red Sea, the Black Sea — and not one of them was reopened by the navies sent to do it. Meanwhile we import around ninety per cent of our fuel and hold about thirty days of cover. Cut the lanes and the pumps run dry, then the shelves.

So: a full, high-level review of the defence plan for this nation. A Royal Commission. Review it before another dollar is spent, and then redirect that spend into rebuilding the country — energy, transport, and independence from shocks we cannot control.

This matters for our children, and for the peace of Asia and the world.
