Day 23 Saturday 11 July 2026 South Australia by Brett Murrell

A BIG LAND

A low rainbow arcing across green country beside the highway, car parked on the gravel shoulder.

On the road in South Australia.

This is a big land, and you forget how big until you drive across it. It is a good time to be travelling — everything is green, the crops are in, rain squalls and rainbows all the way.

Came across this beauty. An unusual one: no rain clouds anywhere. It was blowing hard, and I think the mist formed as the wind carried it over the hills and down into the valley.
